TO: Members of the Mathematics Education Committee
FROM: Bob Kansky
DATE: 14 March 1996
RE: (Delayed) Minutes to the February Meeting of the Committee

MEMBERS PRESENT: Johnny Hill (Chair pro-tem), C. Mulligan, B Rouse (Recorder
pro-tem), L. Urbanski, T. Walker

The meeting was lightly attended owing to members' travel schedules and their
participation in recruitment activities of the Department of Mathematics and
Statistics.

In the absence of a quorum, no actions were taken.

1. Hill announced that he is working on the problem of finding the proper
software for updating the mathematics education brochure. Suggestions were
made regarding the courses and faculty members that should be included in the
brochure.

2. Rouse explained, and answered questions about, the recently approved EDT
enrollment management plan.

3. Hill raised a question regarding the offering of the 600-level MTH and STA
courses associated with the MAT program at sites other than Oxford during the
academic year. It was suggested that some of the regional faculty members
might teach these in load with part-time people covering their lower-level
courses.
