Hello Everyone.

I am doing research to learn what the key success factors are for leading
people in a matrix-structured organization. My focus is on major problem
areas in matrix orgs and critical interpersonal skills needed for dealing
with or preventing them. For example, what keeps the teams integrated and
working well? What about conflicts arising from having both a functional
and product leader? Horror stories and hindsight are most welcome.

Any references you might have (books, popular or journal articles, web
sites) which address successful leadership in a matrix structure would be
greatly appreciated.

If you respond to me directly I will be happy to post a summary to the
list.

Thanks in advance.
