DIRECTOR OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR BUSINESS AND TECHNOLOGY
CONTINUING EDUCATION AND EXTENSION/UNIVERSITY COLLEGE UNIVERSITY OF
MINNESOTA, TWIN CITIES
 
Continuing Education and Extension/University College (CEE/UC) at
the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities announces a new position
opening for Director of Professional Development for Business and
Technology.  The Director will be responsible for the design,
development, marketing, delivery, and successful management of a
reorganized noncredit professional development program, reporting to
the head of Professional Development and Conference Services in
CEE/UC.  Among key responsibilities of the Director will be to
represent the program to the business community and create a
strategy and program mix for growth that responds to its needs.
 
The ideal candidate will be market-oriented, with management
experience including successful business start-up, marketing,
budgeting, and supervision and motivation of a staff team.
Substantial contacts with and knowledge of the business community,
and/or successful professional development program design and
programming experience are essential.  A demonstrated ability to
develop networks of clients and partnerships, a successful track
record in public relations, and experience working with advisory
boards are desired.  A post-baccalaureate professional degree and
five years of management experience are required; continuing
education experience is desired. Salary will be commensurate with
experience.
