              18 countries in Africa, plus Brazil - rural & urban settings
 
DURATION:
              6 - 7 Week Program:  June 16 thru August 12
              Starts with a several-day Training Orientation in NYC
 
SPONSORS:
              Various UN Programs, NGO's, Ministries,
              International Organizations, Professional Schools,
              Local Hospitals, Clinics & Grassroots Organizations
 
- Projects: multi-disciplinary, covering a range of academic areas
- Students generally arrange to receive academic credit
- Typically 7 - 15 units

Brazilian Settlement Communities / Rainforest Issues

This project with multiple objectives is in the Mata Atlantica (Coastal
Forest) area in the Southern Cone of the State of Bahia. We have been
contacted by leaders of these communities to help with various
projects dealing with Reforestation, Human Rights, Youth Development,
Education & Training, as well as Ecological issues (helping the effort to
save this rich bio-diverse forest).
