Basically, the old system is just being replaced by a new system.  99% of
users shouldn't even realize that there was a change (other than a
significant speed increase).  Accounts will continue to have the same
policy as always - you're account will remain active as long as you're a
student at Miami University.  You should be able to access it throughout
the summer without any problems.  Therefore "special arrangements" are not
necessary.
 
The "special arrangements" are just for those people who need access to the
old system rather than the new system (for applications that aren't
available on the new system).  99.9% of users will not need access to the
old system.
