Miami University's Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP) server,
NNTP.MUOhio.Edu (a/k/a Rose), will be unavailable Tuesday, 19 March 1996,
beginning at 8am for necessary maintenance and bug fixes.  It is hoped
NetNews will be up and running again by or before 5pm.  During this time,
it will not be possible to read or post to NetNews from any platform.
It is hoped this maintenance activity will correct recent problems we
have experienced with article expiration routines and throttling due to
disk space constraints.
 
     Miami Computing & Information Services (MCIS) regrets any inconvenience
this service outage may cause our clients.
