Recently, we've had two outages related to TCP/IP. These are summarized
below:
1) At approximately 6:45PM on Tuesday, January 28, the MiaVX1 system began
refusing all TCP/IP connections (including Telnet, FTP, WWW, etc.). These
problems were fixed at approximately 7:15PM. The cause of this problem is
still under investigation.
2) At approximately 1:00PM on Wednesday, January 29, the MiaVX1 system
began refusing all Telnet connections. This problem was fixed at
approximately 3:00PM. The cause of this problem has been determined to be
complications from recovering from the problem on January 28.
MCIS is working with Cisco in order to determine the cause of these
problems and to prevention them from reoccuring. More information will be
posted to this newsgroup as it becomes available.
MCIS apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.
