An announcement will be forthcoming, but to answer your question, the
official e-mail address for users of the DEC OpenVMS system will continue to
be:

                   <userid>@MiaVX1.MUOhio.Edu

The From: field of outgoing mail will continue to show:

                 <userid>@MiaVX1.ACS.MUOhio.Edu
                                 ^^^^
for backward compatibility with the list server hosts around the world on
which Miami users are registered / subscribed.

MiaVX1 will serve as the cluster name for Oxford based DEC OpenVMS, just as
MiaVX2 is the cluster name for Hamilton OpenVMS and MiaVX3 is the cluster
name for Middletown OpenVMS.

OCEAN will remain the machine name for the DEC Alpha in Oxford, and will
thus appear in directory listings, file path specifications, VAXPhone, and
assorted functions, but it will *not* be a supported name for e-mail
addressing purposes. The name OCEAN has only existed on an interim basis
during the VAX-to-Alpha transitional period (i.e., this semester).
