To all:
 
MCIS needs to perform some maintenance work on part of the network.  The
Novell server, MUServer1, will be down tomorrow evening (Fri, Sept 20)
starting at 5:00pm.  This maintenance is required due to hardware and
software conflicts.
 
Computing labs _may_ be affected by this outage, but is unlikely.  In
addition, MUnet installations _will_ be affected by this outage.  Our
installers use MUServer1 during the installation process; therefore, anyone
attempting to install MUnet tomorrow evening will not be able to complete
the installation successfully.
 
MUServer1 is expected to be fully functional by Sat morning.  You may use
the computer labs and install the MUnet software on your computer beginning
Sat morning.
