As explained in a previous posting, the batch program we used to transfer
articles from the old newsgroups to the new newsgroups had a little bug we
didn't discover until it was too late:  it sorted the newsgroup articles on
the article number rather than on the date :-(  This made for the non-
chronological ordering of the articles.
