MCIS suffered a power supply failure to its Gandalf data switch
sometime after 5pm Monday, 15 August 1994.  Presently, approximately
90 percent of service has been restored, but some difficulties
continue intermittently.  The 2400 baud modem pool is currently
unavailable.  We are awaiting parts from the vendor and hope to have
the situation corrected sometime Wednesday or Thursday at the latest.
When parts arrive and repairs are made, there will be additional
temporary service outages which we will minimize to the extent
possible.
 
     MCIS apologizes for the inconvenience this incident has caused.
