As you already know by now, NEWS is again functioning normally (we hope).
 
NEWS was down today from around 9:00AM until 7:30PM for maintenance.  The
disks that NEWS usually reside on ran out of file header space late last
night.  As a consequence, we needed to backup NEWS, format the disks that
NEWS was on to create more file header space, and restore NEWS.
 
MCIS apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate
your patience in this matter.
