Miami Computing & Information Services (MCIS) is pleased to announce
conversion to the new NNTP-based NetNews newsreader on the centrally
managed, multiuser Digital OpenVMS system in Oxford (MiaVX1).
 
     The new newsreader is functionally equivalent to the old newsreader.
The new newsreader accesses NetNews from the new central NNTP server
rather than from the NetNews server running on MiaVX1.
 
     For the next two weeks the old newsreader program will still be
available by typing the command OLDNEWS.  After two weeks, the old newsreader
will be permanently removed from MiaVX1, along with the NetNews server that
feeds it.
