Issue the following command:
SHOW SYMBOL EDIT
If the symbol equates to "EDIT/EDT", this is your problem. Look in your
LOGIN.COM for a line that looks like:
$ EDIT == "EDIT/EDT"
Removing (or commenting out) this line should fix the problem the next time
you log in.
