I believe that we now have this fixed.  The person who ported the software
from VAX to Alpha decided that users should only be shown new items because
this will speed up NEWS performance.  Therefore he made this the default if
you had not previously entered a SET PROFILE/DISPLAY=... command.
 
Realize, though, that your profile may have already been altered.  To
fix the problem, issue the command SET PROFILE/DISPLAY=ALLITEMS, unless, of
course, you like seeing only the new items in a newsgroup.
 
This problem only affects those users reading mail from the OCEAN system.
If user's continue to see this problem after issuing the command above,
please let me know.
