Per the phrasing of my previous post ("approximate formula," "standard
retention," etc.), as a rule, mu.* newsgroups have a 180-day retention, but
there are exceptions (and not just within the mu. hierarchy).  Some specific
newsgroups have longer retention, some much shorter (such as mu.weather).
