     The transfer of the Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP) server from
MiaVX1 to Rose is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 29 June 1995.
 
     On that date, the commands NEWS and NETNEWS on both centrally managed,
multi-user systems (MiamiU and MiaVX1) will begin invoking the new NNTP
newsreaders on those systems, which will point to NNTP.MUOhio.Edu.
 
     Access to the native NetNews processes on MiamiU and MiaVX1 will
continue to be available (using the command OLDNEWS) from Thursday, 29 June,
through Thursday, 13 July, at which time those NetNews processes will be
shut down.
