The following is a list of outages planned to occur on the afternoon of
Fri., Aug. 16.
 
 
>Starting at 3PM this Friday the File Servers in Upham Hall will be
>unavailable.  In addition network service will be intermittent in Upham.  The
>net effect is network outages for all IBM PC's in the college of arts and
>sciences.  Restricted services for the Mac's (TCP/IP, but not file service or
>POP mail).
>
>The outage should span 3-5PM.
>
>As a part of this outage Shidler hall will loose all connectivity as we move
>from T1 service to Fiber per the plan.
>
>As a part of the outage Hall Auditorium will loose all connectivity as we move
>them into service with Upham.
>
>As a part of the outage Williams will loose all connectivity as we move them
>into service with Irvine.
>
