Just a suggestion: Post where it counts. I almost whizzed

If my failing memory is working correctly, you have to first
give yourself permission to delete it:
1. Make sure there are no files in the directory.
2. Go back to the root directory and SET PROTECTION/OWNER=D NEWS-EXTRACT.DIR
3. Delete it: DEL NEWS-EXTRACT.DIR;
Just keep in mind, mine was recreated once even though I never extract
articles into it, so I gave up. I mean, it would probably make more
sense if the file names didn't wind up being 20 characters long.
