Don't forget that he needs to be connect at 8 bits, no parity, otherwise
Z-modem will protest causing general frustration.
To those connecting via modem to the VAX, you can connect at 8 bits, no parity
by hitting the semicolon key upon connecting (instead of pounding something
like RETURN or ENTER.) For some reason I cannot connect at 14.4k baud at
8bits, no parity, but I have successfully done so at 9600 and 2400 baud. (It
probably has something to do with my modem configuration, as other people have
successfully done so at 14.4.)
