After numerous client reports, MCIS did discover a NEWS propagation problem
for Miami's campus.  It appears that beginning about 3 weeks ago, NEWS
posts from Miami's campus were not getting propagated to the rest of the
network.  After consultation between Miami, Ohio State, University of
Cincinnati, and University of Dayton, we discovered a couple of problems at
Ohio State that were causing posts not to be propagated.  These problems
were fixed at approximately 8:00PM on Thursday, September 29.
 
MCIS recommends that any NEWS posts made during the last 3 weeks by users
of any of the Miami University systems to non-MU newsgroups, should be
reposted to the appropriate newsgroups.
