We definitely had problems with VMS on Monday between about 3:00pm and
4:15pm. This problem would have prevented you from logging on (you
probably would have gotten connected to the system, but would never get a
Username problem).
I am not aware of any known problems that would give you DNS errors during
this time frame, though.
