I asked Kent the same question as I caught him walking by my office this
morning.

VAXShare is being replaced by a similar service. You can find the new
service, MIAVX1, in zone MCISServices. You'll use the same username and
password that you use for your VMS account, but the volume that you
mount will actually be the parent directory of your home directory.

For instance, if I wanted AppleShare access to my CLHINES account, I
would go to Chooser, select AppleShare, zone MCISServices, and MIAVX1.
I would enter CLHINES and my password, and then I would choose "MiaVX1
Staff", since I am a staff member. Once the MiaVX1 Staff directory is
mounted on my Desktop, I can then open it and find the CLHINES directory
inside.

Note that you aren't automatically set up to use the MIAVX1 service if
you've been using VAXShare -- you must interactively log into your VMS
account and issue the command MACSETUP before you can use the new
service.

I hope I've done Kent justice.
