MIAVX1 was shutdown on Monday, June 20 at around 4:30PM with very little
notice given to users.  MCIS apologizes for this short notice.  The system
returned to service at approximately 6:10PM.
 
The system was shutdown due to unexpected network conflicts between MIAVX1
and a Novell File Server.  The conflicts were causing major problems on
both systems.  After several attempts to fix the problem without rebooting,
we found that rebooting was the only answer.  The system then had
additional problems booting.
 
MCIS is looking into the problem.  We appreciate your understanding in this
matter.
