Hey out there all you Creative Writers:

        Mary Jean Corbett, Director of Graduate Studies, has asked me to query all
of you as to what seminars you'd like to see offered next year.  Your
suggestions, both for courses that Creative Writing faculty and/or
Literature faculty might teach, will theoretically help the department and
individual faculty plan their course proposals for next year.

        In addition, Mary Jean wanted to know if any of the graduate students
would be interested in a course on research methods in literature
(including both computer and archival work) and on literature pedagogy (to
be offered perhaps in an intensive summer format).

        So let me hear from you, by the first of November.

        All you faculty brothers and sisters, might respond with courses you might
