Dear Beth,

I hope you can find room for this announcement.

NOVELIST JONATHAN AMES TO VISIT MIAMI

Acclaimed novelist and perfomance artist Jonathan Ames will give a public
reading at Miami on Tuesday, October 20th at 8:15 in Bachelor 101. Ames,
whose second novel, THE EXTRA MAN, has recently been published by Scribner,
is also the author of I PASS LIKE NIGHT, and is a columnist for The New
York Observer. In the New York Times Book Review, reviewer Stephanie
Zacharek wrote: "Ames second novel THE EXTRA MAN is both a sure-footed
exploration of sexual confusion and a loopily elegant, surprisingly moving
urban comedy of manners."

The reading is free and open to the public.
