Might be an interesting occasion? I'd be up perhaps for building a
class in 651 around deciding on and performing pieces for it. Any
thoughts/ideas? Anyone you know of working on a related topic in lit
classes/other classes already?

Subject: Possibility of a poetry/fiction reading
To: Cathy Wagner <[log in to unmask]>
Hi, Cathy,
I hope this message finds you well! I write to you with regard to
arranging a poetry/fiction reading.
The Center for American and World Cultures (CAWC) is organizing a
Genocide and Holocaust remembrance program starting early April this
year. It will feature several events--talks, performances etc. The
program is still in the planning stage. The Director of CAWC, Dr. Mary
Jane Berman has asked me for help in organizing some of the events,
and we're wondering if it's possible to have a poetry/fiction reading
with the support of the creative writing program. Readers can present
their own work or others' work on trauma, genocide, and memory.
A poetry/fiction reading will also make the creative writing program a
"co-sponsor" of the CAWC event.
I'll be much grateful if you could let me know about any such possibility!
Looking forwards to hearing from you.
Many thanks and best regards,
Dinidu
