My panel on writing outside of higher education was accepted. I'm not on any other panels.

Subject: AWP Conference
Dear Colleagues,
I’m writing to poll everyone on their success or lack thereof in getting a panel or reading accepted at the AWP Conference, before contacting AWP to whine/complain.
Let me begin by saying that the Blurring the Lines panel (fiction/creative nonfiction) I proposed was turned down. A panel proposed by the University of Nebraska Press on writing about place, however, of which I am a member, was accepted.
I apologize in advance if by asking so baldly and so soon after we’ve heard bruises anyone’s feelings.
I should also add that I don’t believe that whining or complaining is likely to have much effect.
Finally, whether or not you are on a panel, I imagine we will have enough registration fee waivers for all of us, and all interested grad students to attend.
All best,
Eric
