HI David,

yes, i remember Danielle. We're fine at that amount (250, plus a meal).

Cathy brought Norman into the picture last week. I'm guessing that she thought Susana Gardner could not carry a full evening. I'm less sure about that, especially as Susana will present on Dusie press too. I'd prefer to devote an evening to her work overall. Otherwise i'm not sure what the thinking is/was . but FWIW Norman hasn't given a reading at Miami since i've been there. So, i'm not opposed to it. SInce she's written that he's aware we are cash-lite i would prefer if he read next year though, personally. Especially since at least some students do get to hear him via S(W)OP.

Again, fwiw, i would far rather that us CW poet profs understood each other to be basically resources in common between Xavier and UC and Miami; but that's probably too utopian for others. I'd read for nothing. It's not about money, for me, it's about diversity of practices and inclusive community.

Let's take Danielle, in any case, and together with Susana and Matt that's our poetry events for the spring semester. There'll be plenty plenty else going on, what with Oxmag and Hybrid Forms and a welter of powerful fiction readers in the house.

Looking forwards to all of that,

cris

The spring seems to be always full of late additions while our money's running out. It's almost predictable. I can foresee a time when our funding will be cut, so the top MU salaries can be raised a bit more.
