In theory, I'm interested. I don't really play cards, and that night I might be meeting with Blade's class in the evening to talk about my book, if he thinks his class will have anything interesting to ask about it. Having said that, I do enjoy drinking scotch and hanging out. I have trouble focusing on cards. I get easily distracted. Maybe I could just hang out and drink?

Subject: Poker night?

Dear Writers,

I’m trying to revive the tradition of a friendly low-stakes poker game, and writing to propose the date of Thursday, November 18th, at my house. We could begin fairly early, say 7 pm, or later, if that were better for the group.

Write back, if you would and let me know if you’re interested in playing that night, or any other night.

    Eric
