I've got a question:
Does anyone else have problems getting FTP to transfer binary files to
host 'x' over the PPP connections?
I can transfer ascii files from my PC to phoenix.sas.muohio.edu without a
hitch. I can also transfer ascii and binary files from phoenix with no
trouble.
I've tried several FTP clients: Rapfiler (LWP5), WS-FTP LE, CuteFTP, and
NT's own FTP client.
Rapfiler shows the transfer starting, then goes away on some bitwise
fantasy. NT (4.0 Beta 2) shows 100% CPU utilization, and plenty of memory
available -- 26MB used, of 67MB available.
Similar things occur with the other packages.
I guess what I need to know is if other OS's are successfully FTP'ing.
I hope I don't have to resort to Win95, or even worse: Win 3.1
Thanks for any help,
--Doug
