        Sometimes 3-0003 doesn't ring nor give a busy signal.  This happens when
 I dial with my
modem or with the handset(phone).  And when I do connect, it seems that I get
 lots
of line noise.  My modem tries retraining and then boom --> NO CARRIER.  I have
 a Supra 28.8
and have tried different init strings.  TIA...
