Greetings All (sorry if you get multi-copies from this cross post),
The DOS/Windows PPP/e-Net install routine has completed Beta testing
and is planned to go for diskette duplication on 7-24-96. The
location of the disk images has moved to:
MUSERVER1/SUPPORT:WIN\MU-INST\DISKSETS
There are four uncompressed disk images. Disk 1 is the same for e-net
installs or PPP installs.
What's new? The disks now support Windows 95 PPP application
installation (16bit apps) including Start Menu additions. Support
for COM3 and COM4 has been added to the Win31 setup (for example
use INSTALL PPP Port=COM3). The E-net install now only loads drivers
then logs in with an Installer ID to copy the latest E-net
driver/software (the Server part of the e-net install is still beta
waiting on fixes from Novell for Client32 Install - but no diskette
change will be needed). Beta version used $elf-extracting files for
the software loads, now it has freeware LZH files.
If you have any troubles please E-mail me at [log in to unmask]
Bugs/troubles found before the 24th can be fixed.
Bugs/troubles found after the 24th can be documented! ;)
Enjoy,
Steve Thole
Thanks John Kinne for Diskette 1....and all other Beta testers....
