Yesterday morning, there was a small amount of ice along the shore. Today
the only water was very distant, although the wind broke the ice up a little
later in the day. There were a lot of gulls moving with herring making up
the majority. An Iceland and a lesser black-backed were of note.
Mergansers passed by in small numbers over the ice almost constantly this
morning. Of note were two white-winged scoters.
