I had great views of the supposed Black-chinned HB in Delaware this mornin—many thanks to the homeowners for letting birders visit their great backyard habitat! Donuts & coffee were a much appreciated surprise!

Even w/my years in AZ, I’m still not that good at juvenile hummers but I certainly didn’t see anything that would indicate that it wasn’t a Black-chinned. Lovely, cooperative bird—had good looks at the feeder closer to the deck twice & once at the feeder farther back. It would perch in the nearby trees as well.

A bonus was a flyover of calling Tundra Swans—one of my favorite sounds—8-10 birds. FOS for me. I once saw over 150 fly over at dusk when I lived in Hudson OH—one of my most unforgettable birding experiences—the sound and the sight in the fading sun was special indeed.
