The Common Redpoll is still appearing at the Sweet Gum Area at Delaware State Park.  This morning it was continuing to associate with a flock of American Goldfinches along with 2 Pine Siskins in the treetops of Sweet Gums and Tulip Trees near the youth fishing pond parking lot.  With all of the Sweet Gum fruit to look at, it can take a while to spot it, and the red forehead patch isn't always easy to see, but what grabbed my attention amidst all of the other birds was a yellow beak with a dark patch of feathers at the base of the beak.
