I’d hoped for a cooler, less humid day but it was still pleasant birding at Clear Creek this morning.
Very quiet but had a few singing warblers. Only saw Hooded (including a begging youngster) & Com YT. Heard only: Cerulean, Ovenbird, N Parula, BT Green, La WT.
Was delighted to hear a Veery—I’d seen Veery but not been treated to their wonderful song this year. Also saw/heard Wood & Hermit Thrushes.
Also heard a few Yellow-billed Cuckoos. Red-shouldered Hawks were vocal. Acadian FCs.
Yellow-throated, Red-eyed & white-eyed Vireos.
No tanagers seen or heard.
