Went to this area twice today, once in late morning then again late afternoon hoping for a Short-eared Owl but dipped on that. Did see a nice male N Harrier—lovely against the Snowy fields.

Fewer Lapland Longspurs but plenty of Snow Buntings. Had one group of 25-30 Snow Buntings and some smaller groups. Horned Larks in small groups. 3 E Meadowlarks plus a single in another area so maybe 4 altogether.

Large cloud of grackles or starlings in the distance over the long barns doing a murmuring thing—v cool. One lonely Song Sparrow plus some crows.

Still have a few Am Tree Sparrows at my feeders along with White-throated & Song.
