I've been going to look for pipits at the Auburn Road section of
LaDue reservoir, and finally today found them there. Way in the
back of the marsh, on exposed mudflats I saw three pecking away
at the edges of the mud.
When one suddenly took flight, up came a whole flock of twenty or so.
The only other shorebirds I found there were killdeer, one snipe and one gr. yellowlegs.
