At about 9:15 this morning at the gravel pit on Prairie Lane, two greater
white-fronted geese finally put their heads up from behind the mass of Canadas.
Returned after noon - some Canadas had departed, which gave views of two Ross's
geese, 13 trumpeter swans, and a few ruddy ducks. Check in at the office and
you can scope from there.
On Cutter Rd. just north of S. Carr (northeast of Fredericksburg, Wayne Co.), a
flock of about 300 horned larks also had about 50 snow buntings and at least one
Lapland longspur. Thanks to Bruce Glick for the tip.
