One was found by Luke T. yesterday at Mitchell memorial forest. Singing away!
Seems very late for a migrant - but always hard to say. Especially this spring.
Maybe even a failed breeder? Moving around already? It wasn’t there this
Morning when another birder checked. But this other birder found one at
Shawnee lookout! Which isnt too far from Mitchell. Same bird?

I was at Cedar Bog today. Urbana. Had a singing Alder. I am presuming a migrant
as this species does migrate late.

Nature notes - Cedar Bog is tremendous! I can’t wait to hit it again soon!
The Showy Orchid show was super! Note to self - bring cash next time.
Five dollar admission fee.

Good birding all.
