Common Nighthawk southward migration started slowly last night in the
Merriman Valley of Akron. From 7:25pm to 8:00pm we had a total of 23 birds
(21 in one flock). Other migrants were 1 Purple Martin, 2 Barn Swallow, 1
male Scarlet Tanager, and two immature Rose-breasted Grosbeak.

Douglas W. & Michelle Vogus - Akron, Ohio.
