I was on the phone late this afternoon and looked out at my feeders. Much to my surprise, there was a gorgeous Yellow-throated Warbler on the suet cake! A first for my yard.
I’ve mostly heard this warbler and had only fleeting glimpses up to now so it was a real treat to see it naked eye. It even came back later after I retrieved my binoculars so wonderful looks.
They nest along the bike path I believe which is not far from here but still v cool to have it in my backyard.
