Well, I was planning to hit here this afternoon, then go on to rowe woods
and the Charlie Harper exhibit. When I got Tyler's facebook posts this
morning, I had high hopes of getting at least one of the rarities he and
Cassidy found! Of course not...... The Long tailed Duck was gone
soon. From another birder. And Lesser black backed Gull and I have
issues for some reason....

Again, I had a huge flock of Bonies - bonapartes. Nothing unusual with them.
Also a huge flock of Ring billed. Every time they flushed - dog walkers - I scanned
well. Just RB! But a great show of gulls. And various ages, etc. I enjoy.

I was thinking of staying and scanning from the picnic shelter when the rain
hit. I probably should have! Storms can bring in rare birds. But I wanted to
see the exhibit at Rowe. Harper is one of my favorites.

Still Siskins at those feeders! I'll have to hit here early on with the new year.
For my SW Ohio big year. Don't want to miss Siskin!

Hermit Thrush came in down here in numbers a few days ago.
Been seeing almost everywhere. Including the wet woods behind
my house!

Happy 2021 birding everyone! Success for all our new year bird goals hopefully!
And a pleasure meeting fellow birders and talking birds. I am slowly learning
Ohio!
