No great numbers, but stuff starting to appear. I started in Northern Kentucky
The bird club trip there. Finally - RT Hummer, Wood Thrush, Veery, Blue winged
Warbler, Ovenbird, Kentucky, RB Grosbeak, etc. And we had nice views of most birds! 

Hearing reports from fellow birders back here in SW Ohio, it started a bit slow, but picked up when the sun emerged. Yea! I headed
Out this afternoon after errands when I got back from Kentucky. Chased the
Worm-eating at Avoca - Hamilton county. Got lucky! It sang! Hamilton bird! 
Also there Parulas. My fos up here. I was going to go to Ellis in Butler - I am missing
Shorebirds for my big year. But stayed local. So many uncommon species I am
Missing for Hamilton county. I just ran a may needs life list. Sigh - Canada Warbler,
Bobwhite, bobolink, black billed Cuckoo, both bitterns. Lots of exploring to do
Next year maybe! But back to butler Sunday pm and Monday and tues. I am serious
About the big year. I am missing soooo much - pectoral, l. Waterthrush, pine
Warbler, Bonapartes gull. Etc etc etc. 

I should stay close to home more - sure. In fact Mary C. And I are headed to 
The biggest week come Thursday. I have already picked out a spot in Putnam 
County on the way up. Another county to get on the map! 

Butterfly notes - Red Admirals in the nettle area as I waited for the Worm eating.
