Hi folks,

 

Mary Warren, naturalist at Magee Marsh Wildlife Area, will be leading a
shorebird hike this Saturday, Aug 7. They will meet at the Sportsmen's
Migratory Bird Center at Magee Marsh Wildlife Area at 8 AM. From there
they will carpool to Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge to visit some
shorebird habitat that will hopefully yield some good birds! 

 

Having attended the shorebird walk last year, I know that a number of
visitors were disappointed that we were not allowed to drive back to
view the shorebirds last August. I wanted to convey that the group will
be allowed to drive a limited number of vehicles on the refuge road for
this field trip. Walking a great distance should not be an impediment,
and I just wanted to communicate this to folks that we thinking about
joining the group.
