Doug Overacker and Julie Karlson asked me to post that they saw a flyover Black-bellied Whistling Duck at Buck Creek State Park at about 9:10 am today Thursday. They were on the road to the Crabill Homestead heading back toward the Prairie View Recreation Area by the Dam.
The bird was flying south over the woodlot just west of the overflow spillway channel. They are heading down to check Old Reid Park and the creek area below the Dam since it was going in that direction.
