And some was even closer than my last visit. Love this spot - been loaded
with waterfowl lately. scope is needed though. Nothing new for the big year -
no scoters, eurasian wigeon, etc....
Here are some numbers.
1 Swan sp. not mute
23 gadwall
140 Mallard
5 black duck
4 Pintail
110 Redhead
80 ring necked
4 scaup sp. - far.
8 Bufflehead
10 hooded mergs
4 ruddys
720 coot
800 duck sp. which includes coots, so i will look for adifferent way
to enter into ebird.
Phew.
Not many geese! Maybe all out feeding in farm fields.
