Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve was hopping with birds today.

Most exciting was a Long Eared Owl in the Conifers to the east of the gate outside the fence. It flew to the conifers by the bridge then into the trees on the other side of the wetlands area. Did not see again.

Also, two Common Redpolls. Male near the Overlook and female in the center meadow by the benches.

Other interesting sightings

Yellow-bellied Sapsucker

Yellow-billed Cuckoo

5+ Eastern Phoebe

Many Ruby-crowned and Golden-crowned Kinglets

Many White-throated and White-Crowned Sparrows

5+ Hermit Thrush

Northern Mockingbird

Fox Sparrow

Orange-crowned warbler

Nashville Warbler

Palm Warbler
