Still probably waiting til August - there’s prairies to explore out east! And the
Highland nature center.
I did do a quick scan of my excel chart - seeing what I need for butler that I
Could get in August.
Forsters Tern. Veery. Magnolia and Cape May warblers. Although I think of
Warblers more in Sept. bay breasted warbler. Pine warbler.
Back to August - post breeding Lark sparrow somewhere. Vesper sparrow.
Rarer shorebirds. That’s going to be difficult with Ellis gone. I need to scan
Areas near grain elevators for collared dove.
Bairds sandpiper should be around. Sept. A sod farm maybe.
I will keep looking up for Miss. kite.
Etc. etc.
I had the great pleasure of having Doug O. show me around Cedar Bog
Tues! Great seeing him, the botany, odes, and butterflies!
Good birding all.
